Being Dull, Doing Good
We are a group of likeminded individuals not quite content with growing up. Spreading dullness and mischief is the game, while doing good is the aim.

About Us
Wacky Racers
Welcome to Wacky Racers – Raising money (and the roof) for great causes! Founded in 2022, Wacky Racers hosts the annual Wacky Race to support a charitable cause. Participants embrace the wacky, donning dull costumes and tackling a 3 day race filled with whimsical challenges.
It’s more than just a race; it’s a way to bring smiles and support to our community. Whether racing, taking part in one of our fun raisers, or donating, every contribution makes a difference. Join us in our dullness and help us make a serious impact, one wacky race at a time!

Wacky Racers 3: Dickie’s Dragon Run
Wacky Racers 3, dubbed “Dickie’s Dragon Run,” honours the beloved Dickie Green, a key supporter of the event’s fun and dullness. Now an official Llandrindod Wells event backed by local support including the Mayor and major venues, WR3 has expanded its activities, planning its largest roster of events yet, such as Dickie’s Dragon Bingo and the first Wacky Racers Ball. Launching from Llandod Rugby Club on May 24, teams will traverse Wales’ border and coastal paths over three days, engaging in the unusual tasks and dullness. All proceeds from WR3 will go to Bracken Trust and St. Michael’s Hospice in loving memory of Dickie.

Previous Causes
One Wacky Race at a Time
Wacky Racers originated in 2022 as a creative escape from lockdown, sparked by Rich Green’s sudden inspiration. Sporting £500 budget cars, the team embarked on a thrilling 3-day, 1300-mile wacky journey from Penybont to John O’Groats, via Scarborough. Thanks to the overwhelming support and enthusiasm of participants, £6,500 was raised for the Wales Air Ambulance.
Wacky Race 1 (2022)
After the success of the first Wacky Racers event, a sequel was certain. WR2 expanded community involvement and fundraising, held in honour of the beautiful Kerry Holder. The route covered Penybont to Lands End, Brighton, around London, and back, featuring the usual wacky tasks. An impressive £12,500 was raised for The Bracken Trust.
